Share

An eye cream is an important part of the skin care regime and every girl should have one to take care of the delicate area around the eyes. I have used gels and eye creams from different brands but the simple eye cream receipe that I would like to share today has given me better results. This is a very simple recipe and can be prepared in less than 5 minutes.

INGREDIENTS REQUIRED

Coconut Oil

Sweet Almond Oil

Vitamin E capsules (as per preferance)

Lip Balm Jar or a small container to store the cream

Before I proceed I would like to highlight the benefits of Coconut Oil and Sweet Almond Oil

BENEFITS OF COCONUT OIL

  1. It moisturizes the skin and makes in soft and supple
  2. It helps to repair damaged skin
  3. It has anti-ageing and antibacterial properties
  4. Helpful in treating puffiness and reducing wrinkles
  5. Helpful in treating skin disorders and infections

BENEFITS OF SWEET ALMOND OIL

  1. Removes dark circles
  2. Improves the elasticity of the skin
  3. Improves the texture of the skin
  4. Hydrates the skin
  5. It softens and brightens the skin

METHOD TO PREPARE THE EYE CREAM

Scoop out some coconut oil as it is solid at room temperature. Melt it using the double boiler method i.e. fill a pot with water and place a small pan inside it with the oil or microwave it for a few seconds to melt the oil. Now add sweet almond oil to the melted oil and mix them thoroughly. Transfer the contents to a sanitized container and let it set. I have used an empty lip balm container after cleaning and sanitizing it. After a few hours the mixture would achieve a balm like consistency and is now ready to use. You can either use it like this or add a few drops of Vitamin E capsules after piercing it and adding it after sweet almond oil.

It’s a very simple recipe and gives amazing results if used regularly. In summers the container can be refrigerated in order to retain its consistency.

Please feel free to share this post further and have a wonderful day everyone.

Stay happy and keep shining 🙂
